CHIPPERS CAMPS are day camps for kids who would like to learn the game of golf in a fun environment. CHIPPERS CAMPS emphasize the basics of the game: how to hold the club and achieve a sound swing, while emphasizing the basic etiquette of the game. One of the tools we use to make learning the game fun is "SNAG Golf" (www.SNAGGOLF.COM). Each camp is held Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm for the full day camps and 9am to 12pm for the half day camps. The camps are held at the Country Club at Whispering Pines, and are taught by Charlaine Hirst, an LPGA Teaching Professional.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is included in the price of the camp? Daily instruction in the fundamentals of the game, green fees and all range balls. . Water, ice and snacks will be provided at all camp lessons. Camp T-shirt.
Does my child need their own golf clubs to attend the camp? No. The camp will provide a varied range of different sized golf clubs, for both left and right handed golfers.
What will the camp do to combat the heat of the summer? Sunblock will be highly encouraged and we will stress re-applying often. The kids will be encouraged to wear hats. The camp will provide water at all camp lessons.
What happens in the event of inclement weather? CHIPPERS CAMPS continue as planned during short periods of light rain. Please ensure your child is prepared to participate in camp activities in the rain. However, during heavy rain and severe weather, indoor golf sessions/activities will be planned.
Lunch is NO LONGER offered due to clubhouse changes!!
Children are asked to bring their own lunch but an ordered in lunch for Friday is planned for full week camps.
What will my child learn at the camp? Your child will learn the fundamentals of golf: how to hold and swing the club, chipping and putting; basic rules and etiquette.
Will the kids actually go on the golf course? Yes. Each child will receive a minimum of 2 hours on-course instruction and play.
What is the payment process/deadlines? A $100.00 non-refundable deposit per child per camp will hold your child's place in that camp. Balance will be due no later than the first day of camp. To pay your deposit or full tuition, download, print and return the Registration form above and include your check or money order: Make check or money order payable to Charlaine Hirst and mail to the address on the form. Camps are limited to a maximum of 8 kids per camp. A minimum of 4 kids per camp required.
Is there any discount if my child attends more than one week of camp? Yes. If a child attends more than one week of camp, a 10% discount will be applied to each additional week.
What is the cancellation policy? Deposits/Full Payments will be refunded with 30 days notice or greater. Inside of 30 days, the $100.00 deposit will be refunded only if a replacement is available (waiting lists are kept for each week of camp.)
